" At a certain age, we come face to face with our own mortality.
As a youth, I was consumed with being a part of every activity and being at the top of the heap. As a child, my mother instilled a goal of college. With that complete, I started on the journey of life which involved many different careers. I learned much from all of them. With retirement brought me a galaxy of experiences beyond what I could have dreamed.
Having my wonderful husband Wally for 20 years allowed me to excel and soar. What a team we were! As I reflect, I realize the second best thing in my life was the many friends I collected along the way. My friends have been my secret weapon for having the most interesting and fulfilling life anyone could hope to live. The word that comes to mind to best exemplify my feelings is GRATEFUL! "
Born in Danville and a graduate of Danville High School and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, her first jobs were in radio and television. A move to San Diego, CA and a new direction working for an employment agency, medical doctors and a hospital. While working for the latter, acquired a real estate license and joined Coldwell Bankers. Followed by opening a house and pet sitting business using seniors to pet sit. Through one of her favorite pet sitters, she met her husband. Had just gotten an agent and working on movie sets when she and Wally moved to Grand Junction, CO.
She pursued all her many interests including tap dancing. Writing some of her own material and performing it were her everlasting joys. Her favorite piece by Judith Viorst..."Before I Go"..."and if I could do it again, you are the ones I would do it with... I'd like to do it again."
