Billie Jean Wells was born in Andover, Virginia to Gillis Grant Gibson and Erie Elsie (Smith) Gibson on August 19, 1928 and passed away at the age of 92 on June 30, 2021 at Hopewest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Billie married William W Wells in Iola, Kansas.
Billie has been a Grand Junction resident for 41 years and has previously lived in Phoenix, Arizona and Iola Kanses.
Billie graduated from high school which in those days was considered a rare achievement.
She was a member of Clifton Christian Church and was a homemaker.
Billie loved painting and music.
Billie is predeceased by her husband William, her parents and a son, Dan Wells and is survived by her son Timothy Wells of Grand Junction, Colorado and daughters Katherine Jenkins of Prescott, Ariziona and Karen Wells of Denver, Colorado.
Billie also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held privately at a future date.
