

Carla was a remarkable woman who cherished every moment of her life. Her strength and beauty were inspiring to all who knew her. Despite facing health challenges for a number of years, she lived life to the fullest. On March 25th, 2023, Carla passed away, leaving this earthly life to join her loved ones who have passed on.
Carla was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who has left us. She is survived by three of her four children and their spouses, two stepsons, 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four sisters, and three brothers.
Carla was born on February 15, 1937 to Conrado and Amelia Sandoval in Las Vegas, New Mexico. At an early age Conrado moved the family to Grand Junction, Colorado and it became her lifelong home. She had a successful career as a Quality Control Supervisor at Sparton and had a fulfilling career.
Over 30 years, she volunteered with the Catholic Outreach, demonstrating her passion for helping those in need. She was also an accomplished seamstress, skilled in sewing, quilting, and restoring antique furniture. In her free time, Carla enjoyed going to yard sales, playing cards and bingo, and was involved in all of her grandkids' activities. She traveled the world and had great luck in Las Vegas every time she visited.Her hands-on approach to art extended to her family, whom she shared and taught her art forms to.
Her memorial service will be held on April 4, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Veterans Memorial in Grand Junction, Colorado. Carla will be deeply missed and will always be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her.
