

October 25, 1956 - December 19, 2016
Cindi Marie Lucas Brower, 60, passed away December 19, 2016 at her home in Grand Junction after a long journey living with cancer. She is now rejoicing at the feet of Jesus and receiving long anticipated hugs from her late mother, Virginia Lucas. A celebration of Cindi's life will be at 12 pm December 31st at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction.
Cindi is lovingly remembered by her father and step-mother, Kenneth and Beverly Lucas; sister, Terri Franklin; husband, Tim Brower; three children, Victoria (Christian) Carballo, Skylar (Jamie) Brower, and Calista (Brian) Budrow; and her most precious blessings, seven grandchildren.
Cindi graduated from Payette High School in Idaho and continued on to Idaho State University to receive a B.S. in Clothing & Fashion. While raising her children, Cindi was called to ministry, serving as Director of Children's and Women's Ministries at various churches. Later, she deepened her commitment to ministry earning a M.A. in Pastoral Care for Women from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. With her degree, she extended this passion on to others as a professor for Western Seminary. Her most recent calling was to serve as Director of Senior Adults/Women's Ministries at First Presbyterian where she developed the community's Grief Share program and advocated for the patient's voice during end of life care.
In Cindi's words, ""It is my hope to touch the life of each individual in such a way that will generate spiritual growth and a love of learning while leaving an impression of the character of Christ.""
