Daisy Perez

Daisy Pita Munoz, daughter of Hector and Carmen and beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, passed at the age of 87 years old. Daisy was a resident of Palisade, CO and lived a long beautiful life. The last 4 years of her life were spent under the loving care of Palisades Living Center in the Willow Memory Care Unit.

She is survived by her son, Al Perez (Maria Perez), 9 grandchildren (Xiomarita, Gabriel, Andy, Jenny, Tito, Yvette, Yesenia, Gordo, and Lizette) 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband of 51 years Gabriel Perez, her daughter Xiomara Perez (Mima) and her son Gabriel Perez (Pipo).

She was born in Cuba and exiled in 1966. She lived in Florida for most of her life. She was married at the age of 15 ½ and despite humble beginnings of growing up poor, she provided a rich life for her family. With only a 3rd grade education, she taught her children how to read and write. Those remember her the most for being an amazing caregiver, a fabulous cook, and an expert Seamstress. She enjoyed being an audience member in talk shows, salsa dancing, and took great pride in her appearance. She was a spiritual woman and will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and her caregivers at Palisade Living Center.
