Survivors include his wife, Beverly J.; five daughters, Shannon Gallagher, Janine Dyke and Leslie Jacobs, all of Grand Junction, Michele Evans of Wheat Ridge and Kim Dali of San Diego; one brother, John of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Pam Smith of Lakewood and Donna Foltz of Arvada; and 11 grandchildren.

Dan passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2017, with his wife and family by his side. He fought a courageous year long battle with sarcoma cancer, and it took him away to be with the Lord at age 70.
Dan was born in Denver, Colorado, to James and Venita Gallagher. He grew up in Denver prior to moving to Grand Junction in 1980. He was a crane and heavy equipment sales representative for the energy and construction fields. Dan was an avid golfer with two hole-in-ones, and also enjoyed pheasant hunting and fishing.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; son, William Gallagher, and sister, Lynette Gallagher.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Shannon Gallagher, Kim Dali, Janine (Jim) Dyke, Michele (Allan) Evans, and Leslie Jacobs; brother, John (Barbara) Gallagher; sisters, Pam (Bruce) Smith, and Donna (Mike) Foltz; 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at American Lutheran Church, 631 26-1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506, on Saturday, April 29, at 11:00 a.m., with reception following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, Oncology Department, P.O. Box 1628, Grand Junction, CO 81502.
