Dixie Irene Moon

Dixie Irene Moon, age 47, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away at home with family by her side on Monday, November 22, 2021. She was 47 years old. Dixie was born December 4, 1973 in Grand Junction, CO to James F. Moon and Verna Faircloth Moon. A lifelong resident of the Grand Valley, Dixie graduated from Life Academy and received an Associates Degree from Mesa State College.

Dixie loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, scrapbooking, and doing crafts with her great nieces. She loved creating culinary experiences for her family and liked watching cooking shows for new ideas. She was a Clerk at Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Grand Junction and was a former Accountant for Mesa Moving & Storage.

Dixie was the youngest child born to Jim and Verna. Her father Jim preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Verna Moon; sisters, Lynda Moon of Evergreen, CO and Kathy Hinkle of Grand Junction, CO; brothers, James (Jimmy) Moon of Pinckneyville, IL and Donald (Donnie) Moon of Grand Junction, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Dixie's life will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, CO on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00pm.
