Survivors include his wife, Wanda Erbe; his mother, Jean Stalder of Grand Junction; two brothers, Charles of Denver, and John of Louisville, Kentucky; and one sister, Lila Hughes of Grand Junction.

Don Hughes was born July 15, 1953, and passed away of a massive heart attack on November 25, 2016, at his home in Grand Junction. Don was born in West Virginia to Regenia (Miller) Hughes and Charles Hughes. He had two brothers, Charles of Denver and John of Louisville, KY; and one sister, Lila of Grand Junction.

Don lived in West Virginia; Florida; San Francisco, CA; Pacifica, CA; Chicago; Denver; and spent his remaining years in Grand Junction, CO.

Don met Wanda Erbe in 1989 and they were married June 4, 1994. While in Grand Junction Don worked for Osborn and Sons Cabinets, Westwind Painting, Property Management, and the Grand Junction Housing Authority.

Don loved his summer trips to Pierre, South Dakota, where his in-laws, Jerry and Lois Erbe, lived, as well as two sisters-in-law, Jeri Erbe and Carol Harrmann. He also has a brother-in-law, Mike Erbe, of Santa Cruz, CA.

Don enjoyed yardwork, camping, fishing, family and friends, his dogs, his Harley, and his Bronco.

He was preceded in death by his Step-Dads, Joe Bisco and Robert Stalder, and his father, Charles Hughes.

Memorial service is Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Church, 3205 N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO.
