Survivors include her husband, Travis; three daughters, Sandra Embree and Jackie Jacquez, both of Fruita, and Robin Whelan of Upland, California; two brothers, Tony Salas of San Diego and Jim Salas of Grand Junction; two sisters, Gloria Miller of Cañon City and Elizabeth Routon of Powderly, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Eloise Ann Jordan
September 9, 1934 - June 6, 2014
Eloise Ann Jordan of Fruita, died peacefully at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 6, 2014.
She was born in Los Angeles, California to Antonio and Rachel Salas. She married Travis Jordan on August 19, 1955, in Campbell, California where their three daughters were later born, Sandra Embree and Jackie Jacquez of Fruita, and Robin Whelan of Upland, California. She is also survived by two brothers, Tony Salas of San Diego, CA, and Jim Salas of Grand Junction; two sisters, Gloria Miller of Canon City, CO, and Elizabeth Routon of Powderly, TX; 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In her teenage years, her family lived in Oahu, Hawaii.
She loved living there on the island. She would talk about sometimes ditching school and running to the ocean to swim. During this time she and her sister, Gloria, were involved in the Civil Air Patrol. She participated on flying maneuvers, sea rescues, and parades.
In 1970, they moved their family to the Grand Valley area, and finally settled in Fruita for the last 42 years.
Her hobbies included investing, reading, watching old movies, gardening and canning.
A memorial service will be held June 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Life Church, 2066 U.S. Highway 6 & 50, Fruita, CO 81521.
