Eva Ouret Faudree

Our 99-year-old mother decided she was ready to leave this world for a new and better one. She went up to heaven to be God’s hands and to reunite with her husband and family on November 21, 2024. She will be truly missed by everyone that she touched. She was a wonderful friend, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to 5 great grandchildren and a very good friend to a lot of people. Eva had a special smile and a gleam in her eyes that everyone will remember.

She was born October 1, 1925, in Hotchkiss, CO to Oscar and Leona Todd Vowell. She went to high school in Delta, CO. Married Paul Ouret in Montrose, CO in 1944 and later divorced. From their union came Larry (Marian) Ouret, Julie (Rick) Jussel, and Cathy (Ted) Sommers. She was employed by City Market for 21 years, working at the old City Market at First and Orchard, retiring in 1989.

In July of 1991 she married Robert (Bob) Faudree and with Bob came his children, Mark (Andrea) Faudree and Leslie Faudree, both of Grand Junction. They enjoyed traveling with the RV and spending summers at Arrowhead.

Eva was a volunteer for 20 years at the gift shop at St. Mary’s Hospital. She loved to dance, loved music, and played cards whenever she had the chance. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Auxiliary, St. Bridget’s Circle, and Friendly Service Club.

Eva is survived by her 3 children and Bob’s children. Eva had 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, Travis (LeeAnn) Ouret, daughters (Molly and Emily) of Georgia, Aimee (Mark) Hinton, daughters (Gracie and Lily) of Fort Collins, and Jennifer Hannah and son (Cody) of Grand Junction. All 3 of her sisters, Delia Shaw, Bernice DeGuelle, Maxine Schull, brother Waldo Vowell, her parents and husband Robert Faudree are deceased.

The family wants to thank Deena and Wendell Gates and all the staff at the BeeHive Homes and Hope West and for all their help and support for the last 8 months and Hope West for the time before the BeeHive.
