GARRETT E. WALKER 1941-2014

Garrett E. Walker, age 72 years old died July 27, 2014. Born in Lamar, Colorado to George E.(Butch) Walker and Margaret Opal (Sallee) Walker. They were living at the time in Granada, Colorado, that Garrett always considered his hometown. He started school at Holly Colorado and went thru 7th grade. Then his family moved to Black Forest, Colorado. He attended Air Academy High School, then went to CSU.

He married Sharon E. Nelson, they had one son, Gregory Brett Walker, this marriage ended in divorce. He married Sue-Anne Freeman in 1980 (the Love of his life) to this marriage came with Sue-Anne two sons, Paul J. Durnez and Jacob J. Durnez which he loved as his own sons.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers, George E. Walker Jr and William E. (Bill) Walker, his son Gregory Brett Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Sue-Anne Walker sons, Paul J. (Mandy) Durnez, Jacob J. (April) Durnez, granddaughters Cherie (Darrell) Leatherman, Marena Maupin, Bree Walker. Also 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Surface Creek Community Church in Austin, Colorado.

Internment will be Lamar, Colorado at a later date.
