Hector Jaime Zambrano died peacefully at his sister’s house on May 8, 2018, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 28, 1961, in El Paso, Texas, to Rosa Maria Luna and Odiilon Zambrano.
He lived his life helping other people. Hector was the Maintenance Manager at the Clarion Inn after working many years in construction. He lived all his life in Grand Junction, and besides his family, nothing was more important than the Denver Broncos.
He married once to Cindy Armenta, who gave birth to his only daughter, Josiephine Roberta, in 1990. He was a devoted father to Josie, and then to Amilli Sky, his only granddaughter, who he called his Milli Goat.
Hector was always the life of the party, always making people laugh and smile. He loved fishing, camping, and of course, his Bud Light.
He is survived by this daughter, Josiephine Roberta Zambrano of Grand Junction; brothers, Efrain of Colorado Springs, and Carlos (Kathy) of Denver; sister-in-law, Debbie of Lakewood, CO; sisters, Susan (Santy) Lederman of Olympia, WA, Virginia Wheeler (Dan), and Rosario A. Sims, both of Grand Junction; granddaughter, Amilli Sky Zambrano; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosa; brother, George; and nephew, Domenic Zambrano.
Visitation will take place at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Friday, May 11, from 4PM to 7PM, with the Rosary at 7PM. Memorial Mass will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1PM, with burial to follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Hector will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
