

Helen was born to George H Twining and Anna M (Devlin) Denver, CO on December 9 1928 in Denver, CO. She was the youngest of five children and the last surviving member of her family.
Helen attended school in Englewood and graduated from Saint Louis Catholic High School in 1945. Helen met James H Pulley and they were married at St. Louis Catholic Church in Englewood, CO September 1950. Helen worked for the phone company before she and Jim started a family.
After all the children were in school Helen returned to the work force, where she worked at Joslin’s Department store until she retired in 1987. She and Jim then moved back to Grand Junction because of their love for the area. During her life, Helen loved her gardens, especially her rose bushes. She took pride in her rose fence at their house and took care of it until she moved to Aspen Ridge Memory Care facility in 2019. Helen was an avid Bronco fan and could be found in front of the TV for each game.
Helen loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, especially Brian. She is survived by her children, Franklin J. (Becky) Pulley; Dennis M. Pulley (Annette Silver); Cheryl M. (James) Pullen; Deborah R. (Dennis) Charipar; Valeria A. (Robert) Grassia; Scott E. (Michelle) Pulley; 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Leslie C. Pulley, granddaughter Kindrea Lea Pulley, her parents, all her brothers and a sister.
A rosary will be held April 30, 2021 at 7:00 pm with a funeral mass on May 1, 2021 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 790 26 ½ Road Grand Junction, CO 81506.
