Dr. Kingsley was a physicist for General Electric Research.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Lou Borst-Kingsley; three sons, Lawrence Douglas of Rye, New York, Robert Dean of Ophir, and Andrew Dwight of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.

Jack D. Kingsley
August 10, 1934 - March 18, 2015
Jack Dean Kingsley passed away on March 18, 2015. He was born on August 10, 1934 in Wonewoc, Wisconsin, the son of Clarence and Kathleen Kingsley. He was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin in 1956 with his BSEE, and in 1957 with his MSEE. He completed his education at the University of Illinois with his MS in Physics in June of 1958 and his PhD in Physics in 1960.
Jack's career with General Electric spanned 34 years. His work included developing solid state lasers, flat panel displays and digital x-ray imaging, amongst other projects.
His work with GE took him to Schenectady, New York where he met the love of his life, Beverly L. Borst. They were married on May 12, 1962. Soon after they started their family with 3 sons. Jack's hobbies included skiing, sailing, golf, hiking and camping, and most recently, photography. A number of his photos have been featured in the annual Colorado National Monument calendar.
Jack is survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons Larry (Diane), and their children Andrew and Cara of Rye of NY; Bob of Ophir, CO; and Andy of Grand Junction, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dr. Gordon Kingsley, and sisters Shirley McEvilly and Corinne Smader. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Devil's Kitchen Picnic Area in the Colorado National Monument. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hope West or the Museum of Western Colorado.
