Janet Lynn Gallwas

Janet Lyn Gallwas,76 passed away peacefully in Grand Junction Colorado with her husband and daughter holding her hands. She fought a courageous battle and is pain-free at last. Janet was born on October 28, 1940 in Tacoma, Washington to Betty and Otto Miller. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1958. Janet worked for many years as a grocery checker for Safeway.. She loved mostly chatting with her devoted customers. Janet was a loving mother to Brian A. Ross and Theresa Lynn Eley. One of Janet's greatest joys was becoming a grandmother to Alex Eley and Sarah Eley Meinwieser. Janet loved gardening, travel, hunting for gold and amethyst, shopping, casinos, her family and friends. She met the love of her life, Les Karschnik and they enjoyed life together, often traveling in their RV or Harley Davidson. Janet is survived by her husband, two children, and sisters Carole Collier and Adele Goldman both of California.
