

Joshua Matthew Richardson was born on August 9, 1989, and left this world on May 14, 2025.
Josh lived in Eastern Colorado most of his life. He was raised and lived in Johnstown and
Wiggins, Colorado, he resided in Akron for a time and recently moved to the Western Slope to
Loma, Colorado.
As a young child, Josh attended Johnstown and Wiggins Elementary Schools. He completed
his general education at Wiggins High School and graduated in 2008. Josh began his college
education at the University of Northern Colorado and later found interest in the GPS farming
and technology field. After completing training, Josh returned to Eastern Colorado and worked
as a manager at a commercial farm and also helped several farmers in the area with the
computerized technology in farming equipment. Later Josh managed Fort Morgan AMA for
many years and continued to work on farming equipment as needed. Recently, he enrolled at
Mesa University in Grand Junction and was accepted in Lineman School beginning this fall.
When Josh was a child, he had the opportunity to be around farm animals and eventually
raised and showed them at local and state fairs. His best show animals were pigs and he was a
member of the local 4H club. However, his interests expanded as a teenager and he began to
participate in a variety of sports. Josh excelled in football, basketball and track at Wiggins High
School. He enjoyed spending time on the water with family and friends on Lake Powell in Utah.
He also enjoyed the outdoorsman side of sports such as fishing and hunting and did so his
entire life.
Josh never met a stranger and was always willing to help whether he was asked to or not. By
living in the farming communities in Eastern Colorado, Josh made many friends during his life
which provided him an even larger family that cared deeply for him. Josh was loved by all his
families and will be greatly missed.
Josh is survived by his two sons, Westin and Brogan, daughter Berklee, his father Jon, sister
Tara and her husband Jonathan, grandmother Nancy, grandfather Bob, and friend and mother
of Westin, Dusti. He is also survived by one uncle Jim, one aunt Judy, cousins Cody (Seaera),
Kelsie, Rachel (Brandon) and Michael (Jordan), several second cousins and other family
members. He also leaves a great many friends and acquaintances he made over the years.
