Keith Dale Bratton II

Keith Dale Bratton II went to be with our Lord on July 20, 2023, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Keith (also known as K.D.) was born March 22, 1946, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Keith and Barbara Jean Bratton.

Keith was a Vietnam Veteran and served our country as a Sergeant in the US Army. He retired after 23 years working for Rain for Rent in Bakersfield, California, but liked his job so much he worked another couple years. Keith enjoyed many years participating in square-dancing events with the “Joaquin Squares.”

You would find Keith walking or exercising almost every free moment, but he especially enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, Marilyn.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Jewel, and his former wife, Frances. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his brother, David (Cheryl) Bratton; his daughters: Kori (David) Dreitlein & Kristie (Steve) McMurry; stepdaughters: Christy (Mark) King & Angie (Jorgen) Lundgren; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life and military honors service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:45 a.m., at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain Boulevard, Arvin, CA 93203.
