

Born on February 12, 1948, in Minnesota, the son of the late William W. Calvin Sr. and Evangeline (Pocta) Calvin. Mark was the oldest son of his 9 siblings.
Survived by his wife, Kathy, of 54 years, along with his four children and their spouses: Jeff, Thom (Faith), Aimee (Chad), Amber (Jim). Also blessed with 11 amazing grandchildren: Caigen (Clover), Jade (Dave), Alexis, Paige, Harleigh, Brooke, Cade, Kyle, Autumn, Luke and Ridge; including his three great-grandsons: Holden, Briggs and Carver.
What a legacy he left behind!
Mark left home at a young age to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, 2nd Battalion during the Vietnam War where he was honorably discharged as a Corporal, he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery after being injured in combat.
He was passionate about his family, poured his heart and energy into building his business from the ground up, working and playing hard in the great outdoors, especially at the family cabin retreat.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Pkwy., Grand Junction, CO, on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
Following the graveside services, a celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 438 High Pointe Circle, Grand Junction, CO from 2:00-4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Saluting Branches Program of Veterans Memorial Cemetery of the Western Slope Colorado. Trees planted in honor of veterans.
