Mark Alan Mackley
July 9, 1963 - June 28, 2014
Mark Alan Mackley died June 28, 2014, at Swedith Medical Center in Denver, CO, as a result of a stroke. He was 50 years old.
Mark was born in Grand Junction, CO on July 9, 1963, to James W. and Myrlis Fowler Mackley.
Mark attended local schools and graduated from Grand Junction High School with honors. He attended Colorado State University and Mesa State College. He received his B.S. from Mesa State College and obtained his Certified Public Accounting credential. He was the owner of Mackley and Company, CPA firm.
Mark enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Bronco fan, attending many games with his friend Cindy Sauer. He enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and spending time at the family mountain cabin on Grand Mesa.
He was a member of and a Paul Harris fellow in the Rotary Club of Grand Junction. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Grand Junction, holding various positions.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, James F. (Elaine) Mackley; nephew, Adam James Mackley; niece, Sarah Elizabeth (Julian) Henao, and great-niece, Evy, and great-nephew, Ian.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Grand Junction Rotary Club, or a charity of your choice .
A memorial service is planned for July 19, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., First Baptist Church, 720 Grand Avenue, Grand Junction, CO.
