Survivors include his wife, Kuersten; his parents, Martin and Doyla Etcheverry of Collbran; three sons, Cauy, Cade and Cael, all of Collbran; three brothers, Martin and Orvan, both of Arizona, and Allen of Grand Junction; and four sisters, Valarie Etcheverry of Collbran, Monica Etcheverry of Grand Junction, Michelle Kurtz of Denver and Marla Marchun of Fruita.

Marlin Etcheverry, a ranch manager at Hawxhurst Ranch for Laramie Energy and long time resident of Collbran, CO, died unexpectedly on October 30, 2016, at the age of 39.
Marlin was born on June 10, 1977, in Grand Junction, CO. He graduated in 1996 from Fruita Monument and attended Dodge City Community College. He married his wife, Kuersten, in 2000 and together they had three amazing boys who were the love of his life. He was a devoted husband, father and a man of God. Marlin coached football, bull riding and was a mentor to many young men in his community. He was an avid horseman, fisherman and hunter who rode the professional bull riding circuit for over 17 years. He was a ""heck of a hand"" and called everyone a friend.
Marlin will be remembered for his fun-loving and outgoing personality, along with his huge heart and smile. He was a larger than life cowboy, a hero to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
Marlin is survived by his mother, Doyla; father, Martin (Lillian); his beloved wife, Kuersten; three sons, Cauy, Cade, and Cael; brothers, Martin, Orvan, and Allen; sisters, Valarie, Monica, Michelle, and Marla; his brothers and sisters in law, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. located at Plateau Valley High School in Collbran, CO.
