

Nola May Miller passed away on September 21, 2016, at Larchwood Inns in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was 95 years old, Nola was born on April 19, 1921, in Grand Valley, Colorado to Gladys and Lyman Van Horn. She spent her childhood in Grand Valley and graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1939. Nola married John "Jack" Miller in 1939. She was postmaster at the Grand Valley post office and rural route carrier for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Christian church, the Rebekah Lodge in Grand Valley until she moved to Grand Junction. Survivors include daughters, Neola Miller and Viola (Herb) Else; son, Leroy (Kathleen) Miller; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Miller, in 1963.A visitation will be held at Martin Mortuary on Monday, September 26 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place at the Russey-Hurlburt Cemetery in Parachute on Wednesday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family may leave their condolences at www.martinmortuary.com.
