Nora was called home Wednesday morning, November 4, after a 13-year battle with breast cancer. She was born August 24, 1965, in Chamberlain, SD, to Virgil and Betty Kiehn.
After graduating from Chamberlain High School as Valedictorian, she received her BA in Business from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, NE. There she met her husband, Aaron Goetz. They were married May 27, 1989, in Chamberlain, SD, at Zion Lutheran Church. After almost six years of marriage, they had their first child, Kylie, on April 27, 1995, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. Their second child, Jory, was born September 22, 1997, also at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She enjoyed spending time with her siblings: Alison Stoecker, Kathy McDonough, Warren Kiehn, and Amie Kiehn. Her father, Virgil Kiehn, and mother, Betty Kiehn, preceded her in death.
She found comfort with her church family of Messiah Lutheran. She touched many lives and inspired many people with her ability to bring joy and positivity in difficult times. She went above and beyond to bring comfort to everyone, including the people she worked with at the Grand Junction Regional Center.
Her family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Messiah Lutheran on Tuesday, November 10, at 2:00 in the afternoon.
