Pamela Renee Mitchell Krebill
July 5, 1967 – February 3, 2016
Pamela Renee Mitchell Krebill passed away after a battle with cancer February 3, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family.
Pam was born to Frank & Phyllis Mitchell on July 5, 1967, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Gr& Junction. She lived her entire life in Gr& Junction, making many friends in the area. She graduated from Central High School in 1985 & Mesa State College in 1989 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. She married her college sweetheart, Brad Krebill, on August 6, 1988. They had two children, Austin J. Krebill & Seth T. Krebill, which were the love of her life.
During college she worked for Mr. Steak & Dos Hombres. Upon graduating from college, Pam worked for many years at Mervyn’s with her best friend, Dawn Lang. After Seth was born, Pam provided home daycare for several families so she could spend more time with her boys. She was always very involved in their school activities & volunteered many, many hours at Fruitvale Elementary, Bookcliff Middle School, & Central High School. She loved to travel to watch her boys’ activities, such as tennis & baseball tournaments. Family vacations were always a special time, which included trips to Yellowstone, Carlsbad Caverns, & several trips to Walt Disney World to visit her sister’s family. One year Pam & her family hosted an exchange student, Germano Araujo, who traveled with the family to Florida that fall.
After her boys were a little older, Pam went to work for Nick-n-Willy’s Pizza, owned by another friend. Last year Pam started her own business call Spiffy Home Organizing, which she loved to do. Pam also enjoyed reading, kayaking, spending time with family & friends, doing home improvements, such as painting, changing light fixtures, hanging pictures, & collecting clocks.
Pam was a godmother to all of Dawn’s children. Dawn hosted a 4th of July party every year, which Pam & her family looked forward to attending.
Pam was a lifelong member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She attended church & Sunday School as a child, & then taught Sunday School when her boys were growing up. She was also very active in helping produce children’s plays & made a donkey that is still used in church performances.
She is survived by her parents, Frank & Phyllis Mitchell; her husband &, Brad Krebill; sons, Austin & Seth Krebill; her sister, Amy (Ray) Genrich; nieces, Kailey Genrich, Amber Brown, Rachel Brown, Jenna Leifheit; nephews, &y Krebill, Jonathan Brown, David Brown, Joshua Krebill, & Bryce Leifheit; in addition to many aunts & uncles.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Mary’s Intensive Care Unit for all of their compassion & professional support. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the District 51 Foundation or the charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, at 1:00 pm at the First Christian Church, 1326 N. 1st Street, Gr& Junction. Cremation has taken place.
