Robert John Cary passed away suddenly on July 27, 2017 in his Grand Junction home. He was born on April 19, 1952 in Fontana, CA to Irvin John Cary, Jr. and Lee Kaye Allen. Bob grew up in Denver and Lakewood, Co.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Bob served in the US Army from 1968 to 1973. He enjoyed fishing with his niece Melissa and
nephew Josh. He also enjoyed shooting pool, playing guitar and cross stitch.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister Donna and a nephew Ryan Arrowood. He is survived by his sisters
Barb (Steve) Carmack of Battlement Mesa and Linda (Bill) McKinley of Glenwood Springs as well as numerous nieces and
nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friend Patty Thomas of Duluth, MN. and the many Veteran friends who
lived near him in Grand Junction.
Military honors will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
