Ronald Walker (formerly of New Castle, CO) passed away April 3, 2014 at his Clifton home with his loving family by his side, he was 66.
Ronald was born on March 31, 1948 in Lincoln, Nebraska from the union of Ralph A. and Christina F. Walker. He grew up in Lincoln, NE and graduated from Lincoln NE High School and later graduated from Hastings College with a degree in Architectural drafting. He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
On February 14, 1970, Ronald married his high school sweet heart; Cheryl White in Lincoln, she preceded him in death on December 4, 1998 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ronald was a architectural drafter, plans examiner, building inspector and building code enforcer. He enjoyed remodeling, collecting south-west art, bicycles and tools…a yard sale enthusiast. Ronald also enjoyed going to farm sales with his brother-in-law Ron and attended his grandchildren’s football games and choir concerts. Friends and family will always fondly remember Ronald saying “Ya-Man” in response.
Ronald leaves behind two sons; Scott (Michelle) Walker and Tim (Camie) Walker of New Castle, Colorado, a sister; Bonnie (Ron) Burianek of Pleasant Dale, Nebraska, four grandchildren; Anthony Walker, Destany Walker, Aaron Walker and Jacquline Walker. Nieces and nephews; Lori Teichmeier, Brad Burianek, Rod Burianek. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 7, 2014 at Martin Mortuary.
