

Ronnie Dave Rowley, 74, of Clifton, Colorado, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday March 5, 2025. Ron was born January 27, 1951, in Delta, Colorado to Mann and Pauline Rowley. He grew up on the family farm, raising cattle, in Eckert, Colorado. Ron would go on to graduate from Cedaredge High School, and continue his education at the University of Northern Colorado where he would graduate with a bachelors in Industrial Arts in 1973. While in his 3rd year of education he would meet his wife, Debbie, in June of 1971, at the state square dancing convention in Grand Junction, where they would continue to date for next 3 years. They got married in June of 1974. Debbie and Ron would eventually settle in Clifton, Colorado where they would make a home, and raise their three children. Debbie and Ron would continue to live happily married together in Clifton for the next 50 years.
Ron had many different business endeavors over his lifetime but spent most of it as a stay-at-home Dad. During that time, he did a lot of volunteering, including Grand Mesa Nordic Council, Clifton Community Action Committee (CCAC), helping to start the Thunder Mountain Soccer team and he was dedicated to his children’s education by actively involving himself in school programs from the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to being the school board president. He always had several build projects in the works. Constantly tinkering on trailers, cars, or making house updates.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughters, Jenni Lang (Derek) of Englewood, Colorado, and Laura Schuppert (Phil) of Hudson, Iowa; son, Chris Rowley of Clifton, Colorado; sisters, Jackie Uhler of Des Moines, Iowa, Donna (Ken) Christianson of Cedaredge, Colorado and Aneta Jane (Garey) Martinez of Montrose, Colorado; brother, Donald Rowley of Eckert, Colorado; Grandchildren, Addie, Aiden, Connor and Camden. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Mann and Pauline Rowley; sister, Zola Pember; and brother, Bud Reagan.
A celebration of life picnic will be planned for Early summer 2025. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Levi's Legacy https://thelevilegacy.org/donate/ or Shriners Children's Hospital.
