Roxanna Girten passed away November 14, 2013 at the University Colorado Hospital in Aurora Colorado, she was 50.
Roxy was born on March 26, 1963 in Delta, CO from the union of Norman Leon and Carol Marie Tabor.
Roxy was a homemaker and domestic goddess, she loved her home. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Grand Junction and a Sunday school teacher for grades 1-3. She enjoyed playing Bingo and making Christmas candy and lucky recipients of her candy would most likely ask for the recipe. Roxy would also purchase coats for needy children; she was an angel on earth whose generosity knew no boundary. She is loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
Roxy leaves behind her husband; Richard Girten of Whitewater, CO, two sons; Aaron and Eric Wayne Girten of Whitewater and a daughter; Cristy Girten of Whitewater, her parents; Norman Leon and Carol Tabor, sisters; Mona (Kim) Pearmain of Grand Junction, CO and Wendy (Robert) Ross of Whitewater, CO and three grandchildren; Lucas and Elyas Girten and Warren Drapeau, sister-in-law; Cindy Martinez, brother-in-law; Doug (Carol) Aarness, Mother-in-law; Mary Rascon, Father-in-law; David Girten, nephews; Matt Ross, Shane Lawson, Brian Lawson, Josh and Brandon Aarness, nieces; Jordyn Scales, Cassidy Lawson, Jessica Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by a brother; Richard Lee Tabor.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Bethel Assembly of God Church with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
