

Sanna was born on October 29, 1950 in Orem, Utah from the union of Joseph P. Twitchell and Betty C. Hanks.
She graduated from Fruita High School but lived the majority of her life in Grand Junction, Colorado. She attended Mesa State Colorado and was homemaker. Sanna married David Weaver and they later divorced.
She coached youth soccer for several years and celebrated at least one undefeated season. In 1989 she moved with her husband to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked as a Veterinary Technician. They moved back to Grand Junction in 1994.
Sanna enjoyed painting tee shirts, needlepoint, and playing the slot machines in Elko and Wendover. She also enjoyed helping others. During the five years she lived in Atlanta she volunteered as a library aid at her local middle school. After she moved back to Grand Junction, she volunteered for eight years at the Catholic Outreach Soup Kitchen.
Her main mission was as an AA sponsor for over 35 years where she helped a great many of individuals through their recovery programs. She also hosted the Christmas Alcathon for many years. Her AA family will miss her greatly. She loved giving, spending time with her family, friends and was an animal lover.
Sanna leaves behind two sons, Roy Shane Ward of Clifton, Colorado and David N. Weaver of Stockholm, Sweden., two brothers Joe Twitchell of Alco, Nevada and Steven Twitchell of Moab, Utah. Two sisters, Bonnie Ferguson of Cedar City, Utah and Terry Greenhalgh of Provo, Utah. Her stepmother, Kathy Twitchell of Moab, Utah. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd R. Ward, a sister, Barbara Twitchell and her father Joseph C. Twitchell.
