July 18, 1985 – February 15, 2026
With profound sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Shea Glynn Hopkins on February 15, 2026, at the age of 40.
Born in Springfield, Missouri, Shea lived with strength, conviction, and heart. His family moved to Colorado in 1990, where he attended Ponderosa HS and Grandview HS in Parker, Colorado. He accepted a scholarship to play linebacker in college at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, where he studied Business Management and played football—a sport that reinforced the resilience and teamwork that defined his life.
Above all, Shea was a devoted father. His greatest joy was his three children: Alivia (15), Brody (13), and Beau (11). He sacrificed without hesitation to provide them with safety and happiness, and they remained the center of his world.
Shea is survived by his father, Glynn Hopkins, and his bonus Mom, Lisa Shaw; his mother, Deborah Mason-Troeger, and her husband, Steve Troeger; his sister, Danielle Garbo (CJ); his step-siblings, Tayler Dennis (Doug), Zack Dennis (Crystal), Grant Troeger (Vessi), and Andy Troeger; and his grandparents, Charles and Shirley Mason and Harold Glynn Hopkins, Sr. He was formerly married to Kayla Hopkins (née Kostur), with whom he shared his unwavering devotion to their children.
Professionally, Shea excelled in sales, working for Central Distributing from 2010 to 2024 and later as a Territory Manager for BlueLinx. He was respected by colleagues and customers alike for his genuine care for them and their families above the sale. Outside of work, he enjoyed golf, weightlifting, painting, cooking, and coaching youth football and baseball.
Shea will be remembered for his laughter and his ability to brighten any room. In his final days, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ, finding comfort in the promise of eternal hope.
His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on through his children and the many lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
Celebrations of Life will be held in Parker, Colorado, as well as Grand Junction, Colorado, in July. Details will be announced.
