Sue Ann Shirk-Jackson

Sue had many interest including dancing, singing, traveling, cruises, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Molly her beloved canine companion was seldom far from her side.

On May 4, 1940, Sue was born to Edwin and Pauline Bradshaw-Shirk in Marion, Ohio. Sue was raised in Troy, Ohio and graduated from Troy High School. Sue moved West when she was advised that her children’s health would benefit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of ten years, Jerry Jackson, as well as her brother Ray and sister Marjorie.

Sue is survived by a brother and sister, Michael (Rosemary) Shirk, Clarice Taylor, two sons and a daughter, David (Denise) Carroll, Chris Carroll, and Jennifer (Jason) Taylor, stepchildren, Gary (Sandy) Gable, Mike (Shannon) Gable and Vicki (Nick) Mazzuca as well as sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at Martin Mortuary on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 12:00pm with a Graveside Service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, it was Sue’s wish that memorial contributions be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1355 South Colorado Blvd, Ste 200, Denver, Colorado, 80222.

A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone’s friend. In our hearts, a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget.
