Thomas Ray Ohm of Palisade, Colorado, passed on April 8, 2014, at the Palisade Living Center. He was 65 years old.
Tom was born May 4, 1948, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, the fourth child and third son of Willy Ohm and Maureen Spaulding Ohm. He attended school in Grand Junction, attaining his high school degree while serving in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific during the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the Navy, he briefly attended Mesa College.
Tom made Glenwood Springs his home while he served on the ski patrol at nearby ski areas. He worked as a salesman in the automotive and housing industry, and spent a few years working on ranches in Western Colorado and Montana.
Tom had a talent for drawing and painting, and he had a special love for herd dogs, especially Blue Heelers.
His parents and an older brother, Johnny Max Ohm, preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Ralph William Ohm of Grand Junction, and sister Anna Lisa Ohm Goldschen of Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Tom is sorely missed by those he left behind.
