Valerie Megan Kreis

Val will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Nick Martinez; children, Isabel Kreis and Nicia Martinez; mother, Rebecca Bakken; father, Harold (Lori) Kreis; sister, Deanna Kreis; grandmother, Donna K. Bakken; nephews, Christopher and David Alejandre; and her mother-in-law, Carol Martinez. Val was adored by her two Shitzu dogs, Kimber and Kiki, who will also miss her in their lives.

Valerie loved being a mother, cooking, baking, and celebrating family holidays. She would make homemade crafts, grew a wide variety of plants, and kept a lovely home that she was very proud of. Val enjoyed spending as much time with family as possible and doing fun activities such as going for drives on the Grand Mesa and Monument, hiking, swimming in the local lakes, and going to the drive in movie theatre in Delta. Her chosen career was to be a proud, selfless, loving caregiver.

A Celebration of Life is being held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road – Grand Junction, on Saturday, February 26th at 4:00 PM. There will be a memorial gathering to visit with family and view memories from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
