William "Bill" Ernest Clark

In St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.

Bill had COPD; however, cause of death was complications of infection that his body couldn’t

fight off.

He was born on 02-28-1943 in Alameda, California.

His parents were Weldon Cleo Clark and Verle Marian Howland.

William (Bill) Ernest Clark and Gloria June Weed married on Dec. 31,1960.

He attended Holly, CO Schools and graduated from Coolidge, KS High School.

In 1974 to 1976 Bill went to Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, TX getting his Associate’s Degree.

In May of 1991, Bill received his State Psychiatric Technician License.

Bill had a number of wonderful Jobs in his life but the ones that have really helped define his life are: 15 years total in (Police Officer, Fire Fighting & Rescue), Augusta, KS, Safety Department, Junction City, KS, Police Dept., Lamar, CO, Sheriff’s Dept., 16 years - Regional Center, as a Med Tech Plus, Grand Junction CO from which he retired in 2007.

As a child Bill was a member of the Boy Scouts in Holly, CO. and received many badges.

Bill was saved and baptized at Fairview Baptist Church in 1963.

Bill became a member of the River of Life Alliance Church in 1992 in Grand Junction CO. and later became the 1st Elder under Paster Randy Clarke.

He went on 2 mission trips: Uganda, Africa in 1997 and Cartagena, Columbia So. America in 2000.

A special accomplishment of Bill is He flew a single engine airplane solo. His one purpose was to make a difference in the lives of the people he served.

Hobbies & Interests

Bill loved football, fishing and hunting big game (Elk and Deer)

Bill had a very kind nature. He had empathy for others who were less fortunate. He believed in being honorable, doing for others and praising one another to stimulate and produce positive attitudes and success would be the results.

Bill is survived by his wife Gloria June Clark 958 E McCune Ave, Fruita, CO 81521 and their 3 children Jacqueline & husband Mike Abrams of Westminster, CO. and Harry & wife Teresa Clark of Alamosa, CO. and Annette & husband Gary Henson of Lamar, CO. 8 grandchildren & 6 great grandkids, cousins, nephews, nieces & a host of friends.

Predeceased by 1 son Robert Eugene Clark 01-08-68, 1 grandchild Virgil Parker Clark 05-19-2015, 2 siblings Bobby Dick Watson 12-12-2014, Thomas Weldon Clark 01-17-2016, Parents: Weldon Cleo Clark 02-16-1981, and Verle Marian Clark 10-26-1994.

Services will be held at River of Life Alliance Church
