Alicia Romero Gutierrez was born on December 20, 1930 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico to parents Pedro and Sofia Romero. She passed at the age of 93 on October 23, 2024 in Grand Prairie, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.
Alicia met and married the love of her life, Mr. Carlos Gutierrez in Weslaco, TX. Together, they had three children: Francisco Javier Romero, Sylvia Basset, and Sandra Flores.
Alicia devoted many of her years working for the Defense Army & Air Force Exchange Service. Her favorite hobbies included shopping, reading novellas, and spending quality time with her loved ones. She was a very loving, devoted, and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and aunt.
Alicia is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Sofia, and her loving husband, Carlos Gutierrez.
Alicia is survived by son, Francisco Javier Romero (Hermelinda), daughter Sylvia Basset (Cliff), daughter Sandra Flores, grandchildren Pete Romero, Ruben Romero, Melissa Romero, Rosie Ojeda, Laura Jamie Bassett, Joe Ojeda, Will Bassett, Robert Flores, Carla Flores, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
