92, passed away January 7, 2010. Anita Caldwell was born to Wilbur and Clara Garrett on September 19, 1917 in Moody, Texas. She and her family moved to Grand Prairie, Texas while a young child, and has remained a lifelong resident. A 1935 graduate of Grand Prairie High School, Anita married Tom Caldwell in 1938, they were married for 59 years when he passed away in 1997. Anita was a professional secretary by occupation and retired after many years from the Texas Employment Commission. A loving Christian mother, Anita was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. She is survived by her son, Wayne Caldwell and his wife, Carla; sister, Frances Garrett; granddaughter, Jennifer Salazar and her husband, Lupe; grandson, Mason Caldwell and his wife, Teri; great grandchildren, Olivia, Adam, Rylan, Brynlea; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010, First Baptist Church, 122 N. E. 2nd St. in Grand Prairie, Tx. Interment: Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie, TX. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church "For The Kingdom Fund."
