

Avis was born in Lovington, New Mexico on November 26, 1938 to Frank Sudduth and Morine McCravey Sudduth. Avis graduated from Plains High School in 1956 where she was very involved in school sports and clubs. She married her High School sweetheart, Earl Max Robertson, Jr., on June 11, 1956. Avis had a 21 year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone, holding numerous roles and retiring in 2001 as an Administrative Assistant.
Avis enjoyed her 21 years in retirement by reading her Bible daily, watching Billy Graham sermons, going on an occasional road trip, writing a book of her life stories, spending time with her family and cheering on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored.
Avis was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Earl Max Robertson, Jr; son, Steven Robertson; daughter, Susan Evans; father, Frank Sudduth; mother, Morine McCravey Sudduth; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
She is survived by sister, Martha “Jo” Miller; daughter, Sandy Thompson, and her husband, Ray; son Sheldon Robertson; Son-in-Law, John Evans; Daughter-in-law, Karan Robertson; and Daughter-in-law, Letty Robertson. Avis will be missed by her grandchildren, Jamie, Jeff, Eric, Steven, Kerry, Marissa, and Vanessa, as well as with her 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, February 16, 2022 at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, TX. As an expression of sympathy (in lieu of flowers) memorial donations may be made to her favorite charity, Mission Arlington: https://missionarlington.org
