

Chandler, Betty Brown Betty Brown Chandler, 71, of Grand Prairie, died peacefully on May 26, 2012, with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 7, 2012, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.(Everyone will need to be at the National Cemetery by 9:45 a.m. in Lane A.) Mrs. Chandler was born July 27, 1940, in Bonham, Texas, to JB and Helen (Taylor) Brown. She had a long career with Northrup Grumman as a drive-matic operator, retiring in 2002. Betty enjoyed life and loved to have fun. She liked card games, roller coasters and traveling to Las Vegas. She was recognized as a top player for Texas Hold 'Em Poker and qualified to compete at national tournaments. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing, woodworking and many other crafts. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, The Summit of Grand Prairie, and various sewing clubs. Mostly, Betty enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Richard Keith Chandler; and daughter, Jacquelyn E. Bodiford. She is survived by her children, Maschelle McBride, Margo Baisley, Shannon Chandler, Kevin Chandler and Robert Chandler; brother, Bob Brown; seven grandchildren; and many, many friends.
