

Warren William “Bill” Griffith went to be with our Lord September 8, 2013. He was born August 19, 1942 in Roswell, NM, moved to Crowell in 1944 and lived there until the beginning of the 1958 school year. He moved to Lubbock, TX and graduated from Lubbock High School, then spent 3 years in the U.S. Army in Berlin, Germany. After being discharged he began his working career in the financial sector, with finance companies, savings and loan companies, four different banks, and eventually as a regional credit manager for the largest commercial roofing, siding and window distributorship in the U.S.Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The children in his life were his pride and joy and he was a generous man who would give you $20 just because he had it. He enjoyed his Blue Bell ice cream, gospel music (Gaither Band), and playing in the “Griffith Open” with his golf buddies. Above all Bill loved Jesus and he loved to share him with everyone he knew. He was a member of Ambucs and First Baptist Church of Lancaster. He ate lunch at Joe’s Coffee Shop in Irving almost every day and recently he was proud of organizing his 50th high school reunion. Bill was a great man who will be eternally missed and dearly loved.He is preceded in death by his parents Wayland and Harriet and twin brother Gary Griffith.Survivors; his wife Nancy Griffith; daughters Margo Houston, husband Ken, Melanie Gray,husband Brad, Jennifer Kuntzman,husband Dan, Sara Vickers, husband Wade; grandchildren Madison Houston, Makenna Houston, Callie Grace Gray, Max Gray, Marsial Vickers, Lauren Vickers; nieces Kelly Gardner,husband Jay, Deborah Griffith, Laura Rodriguez,husband Juan.
