

Billie was born March 9, 1932, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was born to Wilburn Loris Morgan and Clara Lucille Glover Morgan, both preceding her in death, along with her brother, Jackie Milton Morgan, who died at birth. Also preceding her in death is her husband of over 50 years, Gibson Howell McLarry, son, Gary Keith McLarry and son, Jackie Howell McLarry. Billie has one surviving son, Micheal Garth McLarry and his wife Valerie, five grandchildren, Randall Wayne McLarry and wife Samantha, Troy Gibson McLarry, Jacob Cole McLarry and wife Leah, Shanna Lorraine McLarry and Sarah Celeste McLarry Bull. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Landen Keith McLarry, Skylar Patrice McLarry, Lily Grace McLarry, Bowen Miller McLarry, Neveah June Bull, Olive Mae Bull, Bryson Ray Jobe and Brody Michael Jobe. Also surviving BJ is her sister Shirley Lou Morgan and brother James Polley Morgan of Sulphur Springs along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Billie graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1949, and entered East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce, Texas in 1950. After leaving college, she married Gibson McLarry on August 25, 1951. They moved to Grand Prairie where they owned and operated the Dairy Queen which became a favorite hangout for teenagers for many years. BJ managed the Britt Personnel office at Midway Bank for a number of years. She then went to work for the Grand Prairie Independent School District for 25 years and established the first library at Austin Elementary School. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she was Superintendent in the Cradle Roll Department for over 52 years. BJ devoted her life to teaching every child she came in contact with about the love of Jesus. All 3 of her sons attended Calvary where they were saved and became members under the ministry of Earl K. Oldham.
BJ wanted all of you to know that she accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as her SAVIOR at the age of 16 at Martin Springs Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She also wanted you to know that God promised to ALL who believes and accepts the LORD as their personal SAVIOR, you will spend eternity in Heaven.
BJ wanted to leave her personal message to all of you.."l pray, please do not wait dear family and friends, make your decision for time is passing quickly.... FAREWELL FOR NOW. I PRAY I WILL SEE YOU THERE......I'LL BE WAITING."
Bean Massey-Burge Funeral Home will have a visitation for Billie on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 4pm, with funeral services to follow next day on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2pm.
Burial services will be held at a future day and time for Billie at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, 75211.
