Brenda spent time in Midlothian, Texas as a child. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1971, and raised her children there as well. Her homes have been with her daughters and sister the last several years in Murchison, Mansfield, Midlothian, and Quitman, Texas since her husband, Richard Briggs' passing in 2014.
Family was her dearest treasure. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Brenda was nothing short of a warm and inviting light, one we have all been so blessed to bask in. She was both a sword and a shield, quick to defend and shelter the ones she held dear. Her family will forever be grateful for the safe haven she so willingly created for anyone who needed her. We have felt her spirit as it has trickled down the bloodline into each and every one of her children's children. Her soulful eyes have been passed down through three generations, and it will delight us to see how far her arms will reach. Brenda was a cherished sister and aunt. She was a caring wife. She was adored by her children and grandchildren.
Brenda spent many years working in Cost Accounting for LTV in Grand Prairie, Texas and held other Accounting professions as she had a knack for numbers. She loved to entertain, and her home was always inviting and comforting. It was not unusual to have a neighbor or friend peering into the glass door before they opened it up to come right in. They knew they were welcome anytime.
Preceded in death by her parents Morris and Dorothy Reeves, and her husband Richard Briggs. She is survived by her daughters Rachael "Dee Dee" Spanko, Christine "Christy" Jordan, and Stephanie Beddingfield; grandchildren: Elizabeth Paslay, Victoria Turner, Catherine Turner, Payton Cathey, Madeline Turner, Tyler Jordan, Dylan Jordan, Landrie Johnson, and Jaycee Beddingfield. Great grandchildren: Brooklynn Ward, Trenton Paslay, Trinity Paslay, and Corey Ward. Siblings; Danny Reeves, Paula Worthington, and Kenneth Reeves along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
