

He was born to parents Lois Alton and Ruth Perry Williams of Mertens, Texas on August 7, 1942. He graduated from Frost High School in 1960 and went on to continue his education in Computer Science. Charles was drafted to the United States Army in 1964, where he served honorably until February 1970. Charles was married to the love of his life Sue Williams on April 14, 1967.
Charles’ life was spent spreading love and kindness everywhere he went. He loved his wife and family and always put them above himself. Charles was known for his love of golf, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys, but more importantly his love for God, his personal savior. Charles had a personality that kept everyone laughing with his constant wittiness and charm. He lived his life by helping those in need and set the example for those who survive him.
He is preceded in death by father Lois, mother Ruth Williams, and sister Judy Muesse. He is survived by his wife Sue Williams of Grand Prairie, TX daughter Tammy Williams Wyrick and spouse Chris Wyrick of Grand Prairie, TX, son Eric Williams of Las Vegas, NV; His sisters Sandy Moreland of Bryan, TX, and Elaine Gardner of Waxahachie, TX; His grandchildren Valarie Stevens Butler and spouse Grant Butler of Mt. Vernon, TX, Justin Stevens and spouse Kayla Stevens of Midlothian, TX, and Tiffany Stevens of Tyler, TX.; His great grandchildren, Reed & Rhett Butler and Charlie Kay Stevens. Charles is also survived by bonus daughter Dawn Crane and spouse Scotty Crane of Mansfield, TX.; bonus grandchildren Darrius Lee, Trinity Crane; Laurel, Lindsay, Landry and Lara Wyrick and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel, 2951 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 there will be limited seating and the family will be contacting those invited to attend in person. For everyone who is unable to attend in person the service will be streamed on Facebook Live at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home.
