David grew up in Arkansas and met Linda Young when he was 18 years old. They were married in July and spent 39 years together. From 1967 to 1972 he served in the US Army.
David was a truck driver for 50 years and spent the last 9 years enjoying retirement. He liked country western music, playing slot machines and maintaining his lawn and for a time he bought and sold cars. David was a tender hearted man who acted tough but was really a teddy bear. He was caring and a practical joker. David was slightly guarded but when you became a friend, you were his friend for life and you couldn’t find anyone more loyal.
In the last 2 months, David became a member of First General Baptist in Irving where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is survived by he wife Linda Cross; daughter Gifftane Renee Miller and her husband James; grandsons Bryan Austin Miller and Jacob Tyler Miller.
