

Dennis Mike Jackson, 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in his home in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was born on December 25, 1948 in Wolfe City, Texas. Mike is survived by his wife Karen Nevil Jackson of over 48 years, his daughter Denise Littrell, her husband Lindsey, his grandchildren Logan and Lexa, his siblings Tim Jackson (wife Bobbie) of Bay City, Ann Seiber (husband James) of Divine, TX, Kenneth Jackson (wife Linda) of Longview, TX and Gene Jackson (wife Jo) of Dallas, sisters-in-laws Jewel Jackson, Barbara Jackson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Violet Inez Ingram, father Remmel Clayton Jackson, his beloved brothers Don Jackson of Harker Heights and Wayne Jackson of Arlington and nephew Ronald Jackson.
He was a long time resident of Grand Prairie except for a short 19 year stay in Midlothian, TX. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1967. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart in 1968. Together they had a daughter, Denise. Later on had two wonderful grandchildren that he thought the world of.
Mike worked as a heavy construction equipment mechanic at Romco Equipment, H & E, Mango and Conley Lott Nichols.
Mike had many fond memories of times spent with his family. He enjoyed outdoors, boating, fishing, and hunting. Many good times were had at his second home in Glen Rose, TX. He took joy in finding bargains at auctions. His dog Tex kept him company in the later years. When asked how he was doing he replied, “I can’t complain.”
Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6-8 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home.
Services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 2pm at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home at 2951 S. Belt Line Rd Grand Prairie, TX 75052 with burial to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens at 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
