Dorothy Jane (Watts) Gates left this world to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 4, 2014. She was 87, and a longtime resident of Grand Prairie. Mrs. Gates was married to John Gates for 38 years until his death, was a home maker, raised five children, and worked at South Western Laboratories for 17 years. Dorothy was a long term member of both the PTA and the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Association. She was also a faithful student of the Word of God and taught children in Sunday School most of her life. She showed her love by serving others. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1880 Mayfield Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
