Edith Irene Main Joyner, 88, went to be with our Lord on February 28, 2015, after a lengthy illness. She passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 12, 1926 in Shouns, Tennessee to Asa and Mae Main. Mrs. Joyner was the mother of six children; Deedie Joyner, Joyce Wise, Debra Chapman, Rebecca Joyner, Christopher Joyner, and Gregory Joyner. She had 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She always loved to "gather all her little chicks together" and hold them close. She loved to entertain her family with song and dance and storytelling. She was a talented artist and an amazing cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, David D. Joyner, and her son, Deedie E. Joyner. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Service: 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel.
