Edward A. Vasicek, 73, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August. 24th at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie, TX, with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday., August. 25th at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, TX at 2:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, TX, immediately following.
Edward was born in Temple, TX. He was a loving father, husband and brother. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Katherine Powell Vasicek; parents Frank and Rosie Sodek Vasicek; brother Frank Vasicek, Jr.; and sister Wilma Rector.
Edward is survived by daughter, Laurie Joyce and husband Peter, daughter, Jennifer Alvarado, and son, Edward S. Vasicek, grandchildren Ashley, Cyllia, Elizabeth and Ethan, sisters Martha Tomek, Emma Vasicek, Dorothy Drozd, Helen Roberts, Margaret Sehon and Caroline Cottle, brothers Rudolph Vasicek, Johnny Vasicek, and Leonard Vasicek as well as numerous other family members and friends.
