Eva "Carol" Rea

Carol was born on October 21, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Willard A. Slatts and Marthalyn Mae Pryor. She lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship. Carol had a gift for making others feel loved and welcomed, and she carried her friends close to her heart — they were truly family to her.

She will forever be cherished by her daughters, Lisa McClurg and her husband, Keny, and Wendy Melton and her husband, Andy; her beloved grandchildren, Jack, Haley, Megan and her husband Chris, Nicholas, and Hope; her precious great-grandson, Addison; her dear friend Linda Carroll; her brother-in-law, Gus Rea and his wife, Saundra; her sister-in-law, Linda Rea; and the many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her so much.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home Chapel, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051.

A Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 610 NE 17th Street, Grand Prairie, Texas. Burial will follow at Southland Cemetery, 1205 SW 3rd Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051.

Pallbearers will be Keny McClurg, Jack McClurg, and Chris Tibbles.

Carol’s love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
