

Evangeline (Pugh) Coleman passed away November 1, 2013. She was born in Shelby, Ohio to Harry and Margaret Pugh on July 24, 1922. She was a loving mother and wife with an angelic demeanor. A kind hearted person, very quiet and soft spoken. Evangeline never met a stranger, she was generous to everyone she came in contact with. She started working for the Government at an early age making infant protectors during WWII. Before she met her husband she was a recruiter in Ohio.On May 3, 1948 she married Robert Coleman and they started their family. In 1957 they left Shelby, Ohio, moving to many states and Germany before settling in Nevada. Working for the government allowed them to travel, which became a common occurrence. They often took Sunday drives and random road trips. When not working or traveling she enjoyed watching golf, listening to baseball and following other sports. She played pinochle at work, made rugs and got a friend hooked on it as well. Evangeline was very patriotic, a life long Ohio Buckeye fanso much so that she kept buckeye nuts in her dresser drawer even though they are poisonous. She had such a quick-wit which made her very funny, was a wonderful cook and had incredible luck. She spent time reading, gardening and enjoyed have poinsettias in her home year round.She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, father Harry, mother Margaret, brother Roger, and sister Janet. Survivors: children Susan, Judith, Kevin, Barbara, Martin; grandchildren Michael, Robert, Lisa, Jason, Jennifer, McKenna, Gavin, Brooklynn; great-grandchildren Samantha, Wade, Alexander, Michael, Corrina, Ruben; sister Mary Frances and sister-in-law Annabell.
