Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie with burial to follow in Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington. Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. at Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel on Dalworth.
Gennieve was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Denton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Ptacek, in 2001; her daughter, Mary Jane Ptacek; and son, Stephen L. Ptacek.
Survivors: Son, John Wayne Ptacek and his wife, Manuela; daughter, Patricia "Trisha" Ptacek; sister, Verna Brown; grandchildren, Allen Krenz, Jeremy Krenz, Christina McFarland, Tara, Jason, Erin and Michael Ptacek; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kerasten and Sarah Krenz.
