

Gerald David Malone passed away November 19, 2013. He was born June 28, 1936 in Osceola, TX to Daniel E. Malone and Beulah B Billard.Gerald was a true blooded Texan, born and raised in this great state. As a young man he began his working career early delivering coke in trucks. From there he moved on to an attendant at a filler station and eventually worked his way to fixing cars. His favorite cars were GM and Chevrolet, and when he had time away from his toys he enjoyed hunting, fishing and maintaining his garden in the back yard.At the beginning of 1954 he met Margie and they fell in love. It wasn’t more than a few months into their relationship before they were engaged. In his parents’ house in Grand Prairie on April 20, 1954 they said their vows and started their life together. They had 2 wonderful sons and spent over 57 years happily married.Gerald was a great father, who was stern but always showed his love to his boys. He also instilled in his sons his good work ethics. He was a strong man, who cheered on the Dallas Cowboys. Anywhere he went, Gerald never met a stranger. He loved his job and later in life passed on his wisdom and work ethic to the younger men that worked with him.Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Margie Malone; parents Daniel E Malone and Beulah B Malone; siblings Murline Young, Mildred Layne and Jack Malone.He is survived by his sons Jeffrey Malone and James Malone, and one sister Billie Diamond.
